    I have no complaints about the customer service or the kindness of the staff when my mom, Gabriella Moreno Luna, passed away. They were compassionate, caring, and professional, and I truly appreciate that during such a difficult time.

    What was very disappointing, however, is that in a small town like this, no one checked with other funeral homes to see if my mom had prior arrangements already in place.

    Sadly, the people in charge of my mother’s estate chose to ignore her wishes of being cremated with the arrangements she had made at Porterville Funeral and Cremation Center. Because of this, my mother’s final wishes were not honored.

    It was also very painful that the funeral home only acknowledged my sister Veronica Luna (Martinez)and father Joel Luna, who were in charge of the estate, and did not allow me the opportunity to see my mother privately. I was told I could not do so because I didn’t have power of attorney, and I felt like my rights as her daughter were being dismissed.

    There should be better rules in place to allow surviving children to view their loved ones privately, without requiring the estate holder to be present.

    In a close community, I feel that both funeral centers should do more to protect and confirm a person’s prior arrangements and to ensure all immediate family members are treated with compassion and respect.

    Again, I want to stress that the staff here was kind and professional, but I sincerely hope improvements are made so that all families can have peace of mind knowing their loved one’s wishes will be honored and their children treated fairly.

    Right off the bat Ernesto and the lady in the front were really rude. Did not know what was going on when they had already set an appointment with my customer to add some decals to their loved ones casket. Luckily the worker in the back (Anthony) knew what was going on and helped me out.
    Need new management a.s.a.p I feel sorry for the families that are grievng and get this kind of service at such a hard time.

    Ernesto was amazing, the gentleman who did my dad’s service and burial were amazing and kind. But when I went to pick up my dad’s certificate the lady in the office was extremely rude and unprofessional. Caught me off guard giving she works at a funeral service.

    My mother-in-law passed in early November. Received a call in late November that payment was needed before they could proceed-- everything had been pre-paid. She had been in cold storage for over two weeks! Also, when we finally picked up her remains, the woman that " helped" us was on a personal call for over five minutes. When she did come up front, she was so rude. I would never recommend this place!

    The receptionist was rude and mean. Who puts remains in a reusable grocery bag!!!! Ernesto was rude. What they did to me was totally against the law. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!

    My sisters and I had to cremate our mother not that this expirence was not bad enough. The funeral director, Ernesto, did not explain the various packages. Ernesto lacked warmth never heard I am sorry about your mom. Ernesto started a meeting without all parties being present. I feel that Ernesto needs sensitivity training. A person cannot run a business without compassion for the family. I understand it is a business. The people you are serving, that their loved ones. These people already have to deal with the impact of their loved one being absent from their life.I just wondered how Ernesto would feel if that was his loved one and the roles were reversed. I was not impressed that it took 2 weeks for my mother to be cremated. I have never had an expirence like this. I hope I never have another expirence like this. Just check out all the funeral homes before making a decision.

    When my son pass they were all wonderful and pleasant hope not to need them soon but I will when the time comes.

    Took care of us for my father in laws funeral. Our family was pleased with the care & services we received. We had family from all over that joined us. Would recommend!
