The stylists were great, very friendly. Owner refused to honor a coupon, insisting it was only for boys. What kind of nonsense is that?

We came to Sharkey’s for my son’s first haircut and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Kirby was so sweet with him and gave him the cutest haircut, plus he loved picking out which car to sit in. They even have TVs at each station, so he could watch his favorite show, which was a great distraction. We came on a weekday when they opened and had the place to ourselves. We’ll be back for sure!

We had our son’s first hair cut here. The location was good. They had enough props to engage kids. The staff were very friendly. Kirby did an exceptional job with the hair cut.

I usually go the one in Elk Grove which is great but was in the area and came to this one and was very disappointed but I will still continue to go to the one in Elk Grove.

We walked in not realizing they were on lunch. I guess all stylists take lunch same time. Not a big deal. They should consider locking the door during lunch if that’s the case. They were discussing Israel and other politics but that’s not really why I’m putting it on the list.

When we walked in, they saw us walk in and didn’t bother to say welcome or acknowledge us. I eventually figured out that you checked in on a computer at the front.

Another lady eventually walked in and got their attention and needed a cut for her child but didn’t have an appointment and they were completely booked. They greeted her and were friendly to her and still never acknowledged me or my kids. They also immediately cut her child’s hair even though we were next in the appointment line but whatever.

Next when we were finally called/acknowledged, my son wasn’t really having it and I guess just didn’t want to have his hair cut. My wife ended up having to hold him while he got his hair cut. He was crying but my wife held him and the lady was still able to cut his hair. What bothered me was that this lady was not kind at all and kinda looked like she hated dealing with kids which is weird since she works at a place where you pretty much deal with kids all day.

I’ve worked customer service jobs and get that they are stressful and there are days you don’t want to be there but if you hate your job or hate working with a certain demographic then get another job. Not fair to you and not fair to the customers.

Anyways based on this experience I would highly not recommend this location to anyone. The Elk Grove location is amazing.

Sammy is absolutely amazing, we got a cut done in Berkeley at another salon and they did a really bad job. Sammy completely transformed our son’s hair, he was so diligent and kind!

Sascha did an amazing job cutting our son's hair. I showed her an inspo pic and gave her a general idea of what we wanted but told her to do it however necessary based on his hair texture/head shape. She cut it exactly how I pictured. And my son did great because he got to play Roblox on the Xbox. I've only ever cut his hair at home so I wasn't sure how he'd be at the salon especially because there was a crying toddler and my son looked concerned, but it didn't affect his experience and he did great! 10/10 will return. Also, I was worried about all the bad reviews but realized that every toddler/kids experience is different and we don't know how well those kids sat still to get their hair cut to affect the end results. I will say the lobby is very small so it's a little crammed but other than that it was fine.

Sammy and Stella did a fantastic job with my two girls! It was easy to make an online appointment. We appreciated their patience with my very excited girls. The salon was clean and inviting. Overall, no complaints- the girls loved their haircuts and minicures. Totally recommend!
