Taekwon-Do has become an instrumental part of his life and he loves attending each day! The program is very flexible where my son gets to practice every day if he chooses. He can even attend multiple hours per day. Because of this, he’s has developed many of his close friends through Taekwon-Do, which allows him to learn and grow his skills and his character in a fun and safe environment!“

Although He still has three trail classes, he decided to enroll after yesterday's. He had a warm welcome and interaction with the master since he came in. It helped him a lot to merge himself into the class. He feels good about the whole class and thankful for the masters who helped him to fit in the class, understand the situation and standing besides him gave him the company and telling him what should do so that he feels relaxed, confidence and playful. Really a good place for your little ones have fun and valuable time there!“

7063 Commerce Cir Suite I -& J, Pleasanton“My 7-year-old son has been attending Kokua Martial Arts Studio for about two months now, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The promotional offer was a fantastic way to start, including a uniform, which made the transition even smoother.
The staff at Kokua is absolutely incredible—patient, supportive, and truly dedicated to each child's growth. One of my biggest concerns before enrolling my son was his struggle with ADHD and defiance, which impacted both his school performance and home life. I believed martial arts could help him build self-confidence, respect, and focus—and I can confidently say that Kokua has exceeded my expectations.
Since starting classes, my son has shown remarkable improvement. He is more engaged and focused at school, and I’ve noticed a positive shift in his behavior at home as well. His confidence continues to grow with each lesson, and I love how the instructors reinforce accountability, not just in the dojo but in everyday life. One unique aspect I truly appreciate is their belt stripe system—if a student receives a disciplinary action at home or school, parents have the option to remove a stripe, requiring the child to earn it back. While no child wants to see a red stripe on their belt, this method is incredibly effective in teaching responsibility and discipline.
It's clear that everyone at Kokua—from the instructors to the students—genuinely cares about each child's development. I plan to keep my son enrolled for as long as possible, and I highly recommend Kokua Martial Arts Studio to any parent looking to instill confidence, discipline, and respect in their child!“

1040 Serpentine Ln STE 203, Pleasanton“During our kids formative years, every parent exposes their kids to different activities. We enrolled our daughter at Tri Valley Karate 4-5 years back with the objectives of some self defense skills and mental discipline. Am happy to say this was one of the best decisions we have made with results and outcomes exceeding our expectations. Our daughter has been learning and growing under Sensei Sanjit's guidance. Sensei Sanjit and the Dojo not only care about the skills the student is learning, but also the "why" of the learning and the lifelong benefits of it. Throughout, he has been a solid pillar of support providing valuable lessons for Karate and for lifelong mental discipline and strength. Even through the pandemic he continued lessons virtually and provided families flexibility and great support to be able to continue the practice and lessons. I have already recommended his Dojo to many of my friends whose kids are now at a similar stage where we started off, and would highly recommend this Dojo to anyone considering starting off and exposing your kids to this wonderful art.“
