I love this place , but they keep cutting our Yoga and Aerobics classes without replacing. Also , why can’t we get other dance classes . I’m so tired of Zumba only

1st time joining this gym, the black lady (sorry I didn’t get her name) has a nasty attitude, perhaps thought I didn’t speak English, to her surprise I caught her mumble under her breath. Not the person to have at the front desk or perhaps should get retrained for customer service etiquette.

Great gym. Seniors can get cranky. Leadership and employees are great. Facility is clean and they always seem to be improving the facilities, adding classes and coming up with new things.

I am an employee at an out-of-state YMCA and drove an hour from Livermore to use this pool for lap swimming, so my 6 year old daughter could swim on a hot sunny day with her grandmother we are visiting.
My daughter was denied access as a Nationwide member, or for a purchased day pass. To be clear, I am allowed to use the facility as a Nationwide member, and my mother, also able, with the purchase of a day pass, but my daughter is disallowed unless she has a local membership.
This is very discriminatory, and is extremely disappointing, considering the YMCA’s mission.

We joined the Pleasant Hill YMCA in August 2024, excited to be part of the community, but unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The staff, particularly Nannette, demonstrated poor communication and unprofessionalism, repeatedly mishandling our children's swim lesson schedules. Despite confirming changes multiple times, we arrived only to find our children's names missing from the roster. When I raised concerns, I was met with rude behavior, including being told to stop bringing my kids to lessons just to "avoid her mistakes." This treatment left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. We won't be returning.

I wish I could give this place six stars. I have never had to wait for a machine or piece of equipment. The environment is very family friendly which is import to me and the childcare is EXCELLENT. My kids love coming here. I get updates on my kids before I leave which I don't even get sometimes from their teachers. Highly highly recommend.

One of the worst places for kids swimming lessons. Been coming here for over 6 months now and it's awful. The kids spend more time talking than swimming. Teachers are inexperienced and lazy. Ratio is 3-4 kids per teacher. Even with this ratio, my kids barely learned any new skill. It is cheap for a reason. I am canceling the lessons and won't be coming back. Waste of time.
