Had to come in to Cedars for stomach pain. The hospital was not crowded but there were people with serious issues going on. I had the pleasure of having nurse Lourd for assistance. The nurse was attentive, respectful, considerate and compassionate to my needs and care. There was another patient that was giving nurse Lourd a hard time, but I just kept reassuring her that she was doing an amazing job. Not only I, but other patients were thankful for her care and service to us and even the grouchy, ungrateful patient who kept injuring herself in the ER. Nurse Lourd dealt with her as gently and calmly as she could. Much respect to the nurses and doctors on the frontline taking care of our health when we manage to mess ourselves up!! ‍ doctor ‍

Two stars for the fantastic and quick staff in the front, however, I would give zero stars if I could due to the useless Dr, Dr.Habib, I had during my stint at this location. After hearing Dr. Habib condescend to a husband and wife who needed a translator, I had a feeling about what was in store for me. Sure enough, the second she walked over to me she started talking down to me about my own chronic health condition, while I was in excruciating pain. She droned on for what must have been 20 minutes, spewing useless, googlable facts about my illness as if I had never been told before. (News flash - I was well aware of every single piece of information told to me) Bedside manner tip for you Dr. Habib, why don't you START with a question to assess my comprehension of my own long-term illness? She then made the INCORRECT assumption I was attempting to get antibiotics for a chronic illness that did not need antibiotics for treatment and scolded me for something I did not do. Again, failing to ask me any type of question that would indicate I was indeed attempting to get unnecessary antibiotics. In fact, she could've also found a history of prior confirmed infection EASILY by looking at my chart since I've been to the Cedars network many times before, but she didn't even bother to do that. I had to redirect the conversation multiple times in order to get her to take proper action. We needed to first take a urine sample to assess the situation and see if it was a true infection or a flareup for my chronic illness - without such a test we can not definitively confirm otherwise. Go back to med school, retake your bedside manner courses, or for the love of god pick a medical profession that doesn't interface with patients, perhaps research?

My experience with Cedars Sinai Urgent Care was completely smooth. I was having dizzy spells, so made an appointment to "save a spot" online. I came at my time, and within 5 minutes or so was called into the office, where the PA saw me. There was only one other patient waiting, so no lines. The PA checked me out, the doctor came in to review a few minutes later, and they were working on resolving the issue probably within 15-20 minutes. I think I was probably out of there within 30-45 minutes total? I did visit during a weekday late afternoon, maybe it's less busy then. Overall, the experience was great. Medical staff was friendly and helpful, and ultimately helped resolve my problem.
