I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dan Scales for the exceptional care provided during the loss of my mother. From the initial call to the burial site ceremony, everything was handled with the utmost thoughtfulness and care.
I was deeply worried about how my mother would look for the services, but I was relieved to find there was no need to worry. The embalming was handled with such skill that she looked like herself, and I am grateful for the care taken with her hair, makeup, and dressing.

This is a place of comfort and peace of mind for families of love one's who passed away. Their very valuable service for fraction of a cost from other memorial service around the area is what every family needs specially in the times of sorrow. You will have a peace of mind that they will help you from beginning to end. Their simplicity and respectful service suits everyone's needs. Thank you very much to Marcie and Eric: Alta Vista staff, and Dan Scales Memorial Service (chapel) staff (Brenda, 2 more wonderful ladies, and their pastor) in Pittsburgh are wonderful. My father had passed away four years ago and Dan Scales Funeral Services is a small family business that attended to all of our families needs during a very emotionally stressful time. My father was cremated and they set up all services from flowers to a Catholic Mass with very thoughtful details. There prices were very reasonable and the staff was understanding.
