We had our AC system checked because it kept icing up and not cooling right. It turned out the outdoor unit and air handler were fine, but repeated power interruptions had damaged the thermostat and caused the hvac system to cycle the wrong way. i called this company in the morning, and they were able to fit us in the same day, which really helped during the warm weather in Pico Rivera. 5 out of 5 stars, highly recommended. Our 9-year-old heat pump stopped working, so we contacted Elixir Air Conditioning & Heating after finding them online. They responded quickly and scheduled service right away in Pico Rivera. Eugene inspected the system and found that the indoor evaporator coil had a refrigerant leak and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer first said the part was not covered under the warranty because of missing records, but Eugene worked with them and got the warranty approved, which really helped us. each time i’ve called for ac repair, the service has been great. even though hvac repairs can feel pricey, the team arrived fast, stayed professional, and worked with me to find practical solutions. during one visit, it was suggested that my heat pump might need a custom coil because the part was no longer considered a regular production item. after looking into it more and seeing the coil was still in good shape, i suggested replacing the relay, which is a common issue in this kind of system. that ac repair fixed the problem right away and saved me about $500 compared with replacing the entire custom coil assembly. max was easy to work with, eugene explained the...read full review
