Arturo and his crew trimmed an olive tree for me last summer. I've seen so many overpruned trees - I was worried that they would prune too much, too. They really listened to what I wanted and took a lot of care taking off just the right amount. I highly recommend them.
After giving us a reasonable quote, on 10/28/24, Lopez Tree Service trimmed our Pecan tree. The owner, Arturo, is very professional. They arrived on time, prepped the area including covering our solar panels with plywood and got to work. The were quick and left our roof and yard very clean. They even made sure the gutters were clear where they had worked. Our tree looks fantastic.
I'm going to edit this review tomorrow because I finally found the correct contact info for the horrible arborist (inexpensive tree services; Phone: (323) 833-7002; Email: [email protected]) who dumped their garbage in my mother's yard but I want to amend this and say that most of the gardeners and nurseries I've chatted with in Altadena about my issue have had nothing but positive things to say about Lopez Tree Services. It would be amazing if the owners of Lopez divest their energy and services away from Chipdrop in solidarity with all the people that the company has screwed over. My mother and I will have lasting health problems due to the negligence and nonchalance of #chipdrop and I hope enough people get fed up to do something other than post about it on Reddit or report it to the BBB who had done nothing to address the problem. --THIS ISN'T A REVIEW ABOUT LOPEZ TREE SERVICES DIRECTLY BUT RATHER A SERVICE THEY PARTICIPATE IN CALLED ( my.getchipdrop.com/home ).#Chipdrop (@chipdrop) doesn't have a page here so I'll just write my review here in the hopes that they see this or that Lopez can escalate this to their digital overlord. For Fre 99 you too can also have black mold infest your lungs and all you get is a "refund" and an emailed link to a lazy ass Terms and Expectations page written by an underpaid attorney on LegalZoom. My almost 80-year-old mother and I had to clean almost 30/40 "cubic yards" of mulch, trash, orange vests, soda cans, pizza boxes, wet palm branches woven around unusable mulch powder-blue from mold, mycelium, and other nasty fungus growing in the untreated mound the just unload in your driveway. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Sometimes it's better to pay your little money and know you're not cleaning up someone else's unprofessional, unimaginative, mediocre, stupidly executed "business plan". I'm all for regenerative agriculture but the owner needs to hire a business strategist because that is not his strong suit. Put a pause and go back to school. Preferably the University of Pennsylvania if you can hack it. This is a remedial company probably funded by Daddy just like all the other "unicorn" start-ups and their lack of foresight in addressing the HARM their business are actually doing to citizens and the large community they are functioning in. They're like a dollar store version of uber, lyft, turo and airbnb.
