I've had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions, and he always has a smile on his face, no matter how busy or challenging the day may be. I recently witnessed Avo handle an incredibly challenging situation with such grace and dignity that I felt compelled to share. A very unhappy and unreasonable person, approached Avo with an impossible request. She wanted him to completely remake a pair of tailored pants--. She demanded and insisted he drop everything and complete them in two days- because she has been such a long and loyal customer. Avo calmly explained the impracticality of the request given the time frame and his honest assessment of what could be done. Despite her harsh and disrespectful demeanor, Avo remained composed, patient, and respectful. He explained the situation with professionalism, trying his best to accommodate her unrealistic expectations. Unfortunately, her anger led her to belittle and ridicule him before storming off and leaving a harsh, inaccurate review. The review was completely unfair, and untrue. I am not sure what was more appalling, the toxicity and anger this woman spoke to another human being with or the fact that she would then take that toxicity and write a false, harsh and hurtful review after working with this person for decades. Yelp can be a wonderful place to share how businesses treat us as consumers, but after witnessing this incident, I will take the searing harsh reviews of businesses with a grain of salt! Let's remember to be kind! We are all human beings that deserve to be treated and spoken to with respect!
