Review January 2025. Had a very good experience. Had an afternoon appointment. We were late and they were very accommodating. Was our first initial appointment for my daughter who has had ongoing eye problems since second grade. After seeing two Optometrists, an Ophthalmologist and now a UCLA Health Neuro-Ophthalmologist specialist Dr. Chan, we couldn't be more satisfied leaving from our appointment. We checked in at suite 240 to pay fees, double check insurance etc and finish any paperwork. The front desk woman was extremely nice and cordial. There were no patients waiting there. Now that my pupils have returned to normal after my appointment today, time to write a review. Noting larger than normal optic nerves in both eyes at my last visit, my retina specialist (Dr. Pettenkofer at UCLA Jules Stein in Westwood) recommended that I see (and, I can see pretty well, thanks for asking...LOL) a glaucoma specialist. So, after doing some research, I found the highly-rated and accomplished, Dr. Vikas Chopra. It's been my experience when scheduling appointments with UCLA specialists that, regardless of the body part(s) needing attention, it's at least a 3-month wait to be seen. I was referred here by my primary doctor for Cataract. The doctors are great and staff could be polite and helpful. I dont like writing reviews but I feel I should bring this to the attention of UCLA Doheney Management. Your surgery schedular needs to be more polite to people. Not only did I see her back in May but I also saw her today and both times she was speaking to me very rudely like I was a child. Back in May I thought she was having a bad day but this time around there is no excuse. She needs to be more polite and civil with patients.
