The Stanford Center for Academic Medicine is the newest building to be finished as part of the global rebuild of the Stanford Hospital / Packard Children's Hospital renewal. It is part of a multi billion dollar effort to expand and update the campus. Lane, the building housing the medical school is not seismically sound and will have to be rebuilt. As such this is one of the first building to be finished with the goal of relocating staff. Completed recently this 4 story, 170,000 sq foot structure also has underground parking, fitness, and a cafe on site.
