First of all, this is, probably, one of most original retail business names ever! My pair of 25-year-old Crate & Barrel end-table lamps were showing their age. The switches were failing. “Coaxing” the lamps into turning on was becoming frustrating. I weighed my options of replacing them or pricing a repair option. Thanks to Google, I found Susan. Susan has a long family history in the lighting business. She is as knowledgeable as she is personable. Within five minutes, I trusted her completely. I brought the lamps in and Susan quickly diagnosed the problem. She replaced the sockets at a very reasonable price. Now the lamps are working great. I highly recommend her...read full review

Susan is amazing and reasonably priced. She provides such a much needed niche service for vintage lighting rewiring.I believe she works alone, so it takes a minute to get your pieces back, but she's very trustworthy and provides excellent value!

*****a fave lamp had its switch inadvertently crushed by a guest -- lamp has been discontinued and difficult to replace -- worth it to have it repaired -- waited awhile cuz figured the entire cord had to be replaced and was reluctant to spend the money -- found Susan's Bright Ideas on Yelp and saw it is located inside a fab lighting store I've shopped at -- brought the lamp to her -- she looked at it - had a replacement switch on hand (better style than the one it was replacing) - installed it for a very reasonable price! What a remarkable woman and wonderful small business!! Highly recommend! *****
