Mirage Retractable Screens

I spent thousands of dollars buying retractable screens from them. When I had a problem with the installation of one of the screen thresholds they refused to come out and repair it unless I paid them for the repair. You would think that after spending that much money they would go out of their way to take care of me. I won't be using them in the future.

The screen door is exactly what I wanted. But one side of the screen door does not work very well. I called them a few months after it was installed and told them it wouldn't open all the way. They sent someone out said they fixed it and then I didn't use the screen door for a while. When I used it again and had it open for a long period of time, when I went to close it, it wouldn't close all the way again. I called them and asked them to please send somebody out because it still doesn't work right. She argued with me and said it was past the warranty of one year and it would cost me $270. I said never mind I'll leave a bad review that you don't stand behind your work. That is what I am doing. I now have $1000 screen door that does not work properly.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Stay away from this vendor. Their product is just OK (Mirage brand), but they really screw you over when it comes time for any type of service needed. Here in the desert, this type of retractable screen door will likely need service from time to time. 60 days after installation, we had to have a tech come out and re-tension the springs in the doors. We have had nothing but issues with this product since it was installed. This double retractable screen door cost about $1,100 installed in Fall 2021. We are using it again after all the blow sand storms this past year. I called this company (rude person answers the phone, like I was bothering her with my problem) and I was quoted $95.00 just to come out and a $150.00 total charge if no parts were needed ($95.00 fee waived). They are charging me TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS in labor only to clean and increase tension on my double door! Literally 20 minutes of work TOTAL. After speaking to the office, the tech said "it would have been $250.00, but they are giving you a break". HAH! To add insult to injury, they charge a FEE of 3.5% for the use of a credit card! It just doesn't stop. Only positive - tech is very thorough and competent. Highway robbery - I have another outside door that I may put a screen on, but never again will I deal with these people.
