About Sharp Park Golf Course
Sharp Park Golf Course offers a classic golfing experience with a nice view and fresh air, located near the sea. The pro shop, run by Ari, provides a friendly and helpful check-in experience. The course has some flood-affected holes and messy greens, but the fairways are in good shape, especially after recent improvements. There are still small marshes in the fairways, and sprinklers sometimes run while playing, making it a bit challenging, but overall conditions have improved. The routing, trees, green complexes, and views are outstanding, making it a course worth returning to. Despite some overgrown fairways and soaking ground from recent rain, the course remains a good value and enjoyable place to play. The staff was attentive and accommodating, and the course offers great eats and pricing. Overall, Sharp Park is a fun and scenic course that continues to be a favorite for many golfers.
Great muni course
Do not play this course during the week (M-F) as they run the sprinklers throughout the day without any care to the golfers. I had to hurry my shots on a couple holes because the sprinklers were in my path. (I got wet a couple times when I wasn't quick enough to hit.) Also, this made for swampy fairways. I asked the course Marshall why they did this and he said because their system is so old that they don't have automatic sprinklers, and they don't want to pay someone to water at night. If I had known this, I wouldn't have played on a weekday. And they charge full-price, which doesn't seem fair to customers. Won't ever play this course again mid-week.
