Title: Wonderful Experience at Jigsaw Farms, Will Rogers RanchRating: I have been a resident of Pacific Palisades for over 20 years and recently discovered one of its best-kept secrets - Jigsaw Farms at Will Rogers Ranch. Nestled within the beautiful national park, this business has breathed new life into the stables, offering a range of activities that are perfect for both residents and visitors alike. From the moment we stepped foot on the property, it was evident that Jigsaw Farms had made significant improvements. The facilities were well-maintained and exuded a sense of warmth and professionalism. It was clear to see that they genuinely care about the welfare of their horses and ensuring their guests have an unforgettable experience. We decided to try out one of their trail rides today and it was absolutely awesome. Signing up for the ride was a breeze, thanks to their easy and efficient process. Our guide, Brad, proved to be an exceptional rancher with an undeniable talent for understanding and communicating with horses. Brad truly lives up to his reputation as a "horse whisperer," ensuring each rider felt safe and supported throughout the entire journey. The horses themselves were nothing short of amazing. They were well-trained, gentle, and clearly well-cared for. Riding through the stunning trails of the Will Rogers Ranch was a breathtaking experience. The natural beauty of the surrounding area combined with Brad's expertise made for a truly memorable ride.Aside from trail rides, Jigsaw Farms also offers a summer camp for kids and riding lessons for both children and adults. This diverse range of activities demonstrates their commitment to providing enjoyable experiences for people of all ages and skill levels.I want to thank Jigsaw Farms for the incredible work they are doing at Will Rogers Ranch. Their dedication to preserving this picturesque location and sharing it with the community is truly commendable. We can't wait to visit again soon and continue exploring everything they have to offer. In conclusion, if you're looking for an outstanding equestrian experience in the Pacific Palisades area, I highly recommend Jigsaw Farms at Will Rogers Ranch. Their professional staff, well-trained horses, and stunning trails guarantee a memorable adventure for everyone. Keep up the great work, Jigsaw Farms - we'll see you soon!Sincerely,Shari and Tommy
After searching for a horseback trail ride that was open during COVID times, I came across this company. They had an offer from Groupon and we decided to give this place a try. Once we arrived (had to make a phone call to find the location but it wasn't hard with some guidance) we met our tour guide, Curtis. He was so kind to us but even kinder to the horses. His methods and respect for the horses made us feel so safe and comfortable knowing that the horses were taken care of properly. Overall the experience was lovely and we look forward to doing a trail ride in winter with Curtis again.
For my dad's birthday back in February we booked a ride for four people but because of Covid it was pushed back to just last weekend. I have had consistent contact with Janice and she has always been kind, considerate, and supportive of the dates we kept choosing and re-choosing over the last four months. I never called them, but if you e-mail them they'll get back to you in a few days. Getting to Will Rogers park wasn't hard, and after paying the $13 all day fee, we were lucky enough to find parking right by the Polo field (it was crowded)! After about a 10 minute mini hike on a dirt path we found the area where we would meet our guide and our horses! I forgot our guide's name, but she was a woman with a lot of knowledge on how to ride and steer a horse. She also used to dirt bike, I think. Anyways, she had a pretty tough time wrangling up three horses (they kept running away from her!) but after about 30 mins she managed to catch one of them. I felt bad because she had a fractured rib and she was running around trying to catch these naughty guys lol. Once we got our helmets and got on the horse, we were off! The trail wasn't very hard to navigate even with other hikers and with their dogs on the trail. Everyone was wearing a mask, including us, and the horses were probably more than 6 feet apart. My horses name was Sunset and he was great - cautious going downhill, would realize he was falling behind and start jogging a bit before slowing down again, never tried to eat the plants, and listened very well. We were taken up to inspiration point where we took some pictures overlooking the view of Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. It was a little overcast which was nice because it wasn't too hot, and there was a steady breeze blowing. Such a nice day for riding! Coming back down was fine, and pretty soon we were off the horse and walking back to the car. This was an excellent experience, and I'm glad we were able to still do this event during these times! Oh, as an added bonus...our thighs didn't hurt the next day!!
