I had been going to the same vet for years until I found PG animal hospital. I love Dr. Kaplan-Dau who sees my cat. She runs the business well and her staff have all been there a long time. They have fair pricing and packages for vaccines, etc. I can often get my cat in quickly when needed.I also love that I have been able to board my cat when out of town knowing they took great care of her.
Really great experience! I'm new to Pacific Grove and needed to establish with a local vet. A great initial call with Janelle made it easy to feel comfortable about the office and set-up an appointment. The team there were all great, making for a very wonderful first visit (my dog was super excited and happy about all the positive attention). Happy to be new clients! Took my dog to this practice as bf's dog was already established there and have been using a cats-only practice in Monterey for my other babies. Did the new patient "puppy package" and subsequently had our dog neutered there. On the whole, I wasn't impressed. VERY pricey, staff had to take dog back MULTIPLE times because they kept *forgetting* to do things, and communication with the actual vet was good but not great. Home care instructions following neuter also seemed quite excessive (recommended 3 whole weeks in the cone) compared to what I found from other practices and our dog's actual healing.
