Run from this place. Left two pair of shoes for sole/heel replacement. Both were lace up shoes. When I picked up the shoes, I was told one pair was beyond repair and the other pair was returned to me without the shoe laces. He lost them but said I dropped them off that way, which I didn’t. They were original laces tied on each shoe! He literally called me a liar. It was shocking. He then charged $15 for “fixing” a small section of the heels. I don’t believe he did anything except lose shoe laces. If he did replace the heels, it’s shoddy work. An awful customer experience.

The owner is the sweetest man ever! He has done many repairs for me in the past including purses, and shoes. Sometimes he even will do miracle work while I wait on things, I think may not be able to be fixed at all. He's super reasonable too. The guy who wrote that first review 12 years ago, is like nothing I have heard from anybody in town and the many people I have referred to him who love his work. The Monterey shop he refers to is ok, but count on paying loads of money. Compare the boot repair on this Yelp page with what a friend of mine paid for a short ankle style Ugg cleaning at the other shop, both for $40. By the way that Ugg cleaning was not so terrific, in my opinion.
