“I'm leaving this review because I was in a dire situation, needing a catheter to void my bladder because I am a L-1 spinal cord injury and I had left my backpack with all my medical supplies 2 hours away at home. I went to 5 other urgent cares and even several hospitals with ER's and no one would provide a simple catheter to me. It's not like I was asking for medication. Others wanted to check me in, sit and wait to be seen by a doctor. It was sad to say the least. So disappointing that these other facilties couldn't just provide that for me in great need. From the grace of God and caring of this urgent care they provided one for me! I was able to the bathroom and stay in Oxnard to watch my son play his club soccer game. Still a long drive back home but that was all I needed to enjoy the day. Thank you very much for your compassion for people in need and overlooking all the bureaucracy that prevent care for the simplest of need. Peace be with you!“

“Had Dr. DeForest as my children’s pediatrician since she still had an office in OMAC. She is kind, and very thorough, giving advice, clear directions and instruction. She addresses concerns and questions, and doesn’t just rush her visits. Which is probably why the wait times between patients are long. I tend to schedule my kids appointments and check ups back to back and so they usually get seen as a twofer and we are out within the hour. Wait times even with an appointment are about 20mins including the time for checking in and filling in paperwork. My kids are 9 and 10 now and been seeing her since before they were in school. I switched to her from a different pediatrician who was also in the OMAC offices, but he never quite gave the time and attention; rushing through procedures, and not really taking the time to make kids comfortable. So I looked up pediatricians, looked at their reviews, credentials, and experience and chose DeForest.“
