We had the best experience with Mike of Donlon Plumbing today! We’ve had Donlon out (repeatedly) because we live in a 1929 California bungalow in Ventura so we have some older pipes plus a toddler who gets strange things down them somehow in the course of bath~time :) Donlon plumbers have been consistently highly professional, courteous, and very effective. However, I have to say that Mike is the best plumber we have personally interacted with, from any company, when it comes to thoroughness in investigation and diagnosis, in effective resolution of the issue, and in communication with his clients. More importantly, he goes beyond what any other plumber has done as far as kindness. We have an almost 2 1/2 year old here who had such a great time participating with Mike, watching the snaking of the drain (from a safe distance, of course:), following Mike to the drain clear out area, investigating other possibly connected areas, and even being included by Mike as helping in the investigation. Mike was so kind to make him feel included and to take the time to interact with him in such a positive and friendly way that brought joy to his day. Mike even said in front of Jacob that we knew that the problem in one area had been fixed because Jacob had put the drain cover on (his attempt to help and get involved, other than following Mike everywhere) and it would have moved if there had been an issue down the line. Somewhere in there he also said “one for me, one for the plumber” and brought Mike an apple, not to mention a cheese stick. We simply have never had such a great experience with any plumber. Jacob insisted on walking Mike out and sitting on a little wall and waiting. Then the little blue truck drove off and we were waving. Jacob said Mike had other places to go. As he drove off, Jacob said “there goes the little blue truck” ~ which, as fellow toddler parents know (and toddlers too), is that great “Little Blue Truck” series which is all about meeting and helping on the road of life and being kind. We talked about how Mike was off to help others and what a great thing it is that plumbers do to help people and how he drives that little blue truck. And I feel like Jacob had a genuinely great experience because Mike cared, frankly, to a “Little Blue Truck” level and he communicated that ~ and that is rare for plumbers or for anywhere. So thanks to Donlon Plumbing and to Mike ~ Jacob & I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Anthony from Donlon Plumbing is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly. He fixed my drain pipes in the shower very quickly and replaced a drain cap. I will always ask for him for my residential plumbing.
