I wanted to provide an update on my experience with my daughters AMAZING tutor at AJ Tutoring, Emily Liu. Both of my daughters, who are in the 5th and 6th grade, have had challenges with math, and fortunately have had the pleasure to be tutored by Emily this past year.
Emily makes both of their lessons fun. She takes the time to ask them how they're doing, and if they need a snack or anything to make sure they are comfortable during lessons. She strikes a good balance in lessons of building a relationship with the girls and focusing on the concepts. The girls respect her and look forward to their lessons on a weekly basis.

Derrick Okubo with AJ has been amazing! My high school daughter made huge progress working with Derrick - he explains concepts clearly, is incredibly patient, and knows exactly how to build confidence. We saw results quickly! Highly recommend!
Our daughter is working with Derrick Okubo at AJ Tutoring on AP Calculus. Derrick has developed a strong rapport with our daughter and has helped her grasp complex topics leading to a very successful trimester. He has done a great job identifying her strengths and weaknesses to hone in on the areas where the most focus is needed. Derrick is also very flexible in working around extra curricular activities. We couldn't be happier with Derrick and are looking forward to working with him for the remainder of the school year.
