Nick promptly came up with a beautiful design right within the budget we requested. “The company is from California, USA - Marina Landscape Inc. They hire people from the first position with 8 millions Vietnam dong per month. Then when you go up to team leader, you will be paid from 20 mils VND. The manager is paid over 40 mils VND. The programmer is paid from 30 mils VND. The first time is from 3rd floor with about 10 persons. Then they rented second floor. Next time, they rented the first floor when Vietcombank left. Lastly, they rented the top floor. With more than 200 persons, this is a good landscape estimating company. Besides good skills, you must love this job. Good environment to know about the way how US company works. This company is good for anyone loves the lonely life. There are many people can work from 7am until 11pm. Sometimes these people can receive 2 mils VND as Employee of the month. The company likes women to be leader because they can listen to the US manager easily like a sheep. You will sign a NDA agreement that you will not tell to anyone about your salary. And you can't do the same position within 2 years since quitting the company. Because there are some company asked for this position with 20 mils VND for 2-year experience. There are a company trip and a year end party every year. You will have thirteen-month salary if work more than a year. To be a team leader, you need more than 2 years. To be a manager, wait until the recent manager quit. Especially, the team leaders and manager will have a big money (more than 1 month salary) when the company reach the goal. But it's nothing when compared with the US estimators. More than 100 times? No, more than that. I appreciate when I can be the team leader 2 times because I was autism when I was 5. Something need to know when working here. Such as don't use much time for making coffee. No eating breakfast in working time. No chat in working time. If you have any idea for the company, it must be saving the cost for company or increasing the quality of the work. You should know about Nga Nguyen, the first person on this branch. I'm the second guy. Lan Nguyen (the manager) is the third one. You can't use all vacation days (12 days per year) in one time. And if you want to use it, you have to ask for more than 1 month. And you can't use it before or after any holiday such as Tet festival. I have won 66 mils dollars for Marina as an estimator from 2016. I appreciate when I had a lot of competitors because I didn't gradute any university or college yet. I hope that the company will be bigger when becoming 100% employee owned from 2023.“

“While looking for someone to do some landscape design, we thankfully found Joe who came recommended from someone who no longer did landscape design. We needed help deciding what type of flowers and plants to place in a new 27'x24" raised stucco planter, and two smaller planters in our front yard. Joe, turned out to be just who we needed. He showed on time and very enthusiastic. He was willing to take on the task of providing me some design ideas. I shared my vision (I knew the look I was going for, but needed his expertise on the type of plants and flowers as not to make the wrong decision by planting something too invasive or something that wouldn't mix with other plants, etc.). Joe was very mindful of my budget, and kept me in the loop of cost. He gave me a few suggestions and designs, and we settled on one of them. Joe was extremely patient with me as we selected plants, and once the plants arrived I changed mind on a couple of them. This was no big deal to Joe, he immediately left made some exchanges while his crew got to work digging and planting. They were fun and happy workers. They had no problem with me interjecting my thoughts and making some changes along the way. They were an awesome group of young men. I'd hired them again without hesitation.
