This is a beautiful place to walk or take a historical tour. It was designed by the same architect that designed Central Park. There are spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay from the top. Any visitor to the East Bay should visit this cemetary. Bechtel, Crocker, Stanford, and the foudders of Oakland are buried here as is John Lee Hooker and Julia Morgan. It has a Civil War area as well. There are people from all walks of live and different backgrounds and religions here.
