This is a fantastic place for kids to learn martial arts and grow self confidence, self control and respect for others. My son has only been going for a month so far but he is really enjoying it and I love watching him grow here. The senseis at BAMA teach martial arts in a safe and fun way that is tailored to each child's age. Couldn't recommend it more.

Me and my brother studied here as kids and it was great! The teachers know how to teach discipline and keep kids focused while also maintaining a fun, encouraging, and positive environment. And it’s great exercise! Would recommend!!

I was the former student with BAMA and temporarily took a break time. I learned self-confidence and became mentally, physically healthier. When I watched kids’ classes, teachers were dedicated to individuals and kids expressed their emotions freely. If I have a kid, I would definitely send my kid this dojo, BAMA to learn confidence and tolerance.Thank you for teaching me well and see you soon.

Age-Specific Training Based on all our research on children and learning, we discovered that children show developmental milestones based on specific age groups. These age groups – as they pertain to marital arts – are as follows: 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 14. This was a big discovery as most martial arts schools only divide their children into two age groups: 6 and under and 7 and up. By sub-dividing our ages into more specific groups, we would avoid common challenges such as “roller coaster classes” where almost EVERY drill was “too hard” for the younger students yet “too easy” for the older students.
