I'm disappointed because I realized that during my appointment, there were several times where, instead of plucking the hair follicle during the current, she used a tweezers that clips the follicle and doesn't separate and remove it during the current, so it continues to grow. I looked up the process to understand better how electrolysis works, and then realized that she was not performing the service on all of my follicles consistently. I've decided not to continue and am now looking for a new salon.

Carrol has done amazing electrolysis work for me. I have PCOS and have had issues with hair on my face and neck, and Carrol's treatments have reduced that hair down to almost nothing, now I just go for maintenance. She always has a good story to tell, she's very friendly, the prices are good and the process is very comfortable. HIGHLY recommend her she's a great person!

I always have a good experience at a current A Current Affair. I needed a new place because the place I had gone to wasn't returning my call to make an appointment. I think the whole pandemic may have affected my previous place. My previous place was in Hayward and I am in Alameda, A Current Affair is closer to me, it has parking right in front. It has a cute waiting area that has a calming feeling to it. It's quiet. Carrol is very good at what she does. She offers other services like acupuncture and facials. She actually aims to help people overcome their challenges. I think this is huge. This means she cares about other people. I give A Current Affair high marks. I will continue to give her business and encourage you to try her out. Her place is next to a convenience store where you can get a refreshment before or after the session. It's located in Montclair which is cute and full of good surprises too.
