I have seen alot of Doctors in my 79 years, and Dr. Shaffner is the absolute best without question in my point of view. Yes the wait to get into his office can be long, but its worth it to get a genuinely caring Doctor that actually listens to you and is interested in helping you find solutions to your medical needs. Instead of a Doctor that just prescribes pills and sends you on your way. He and I share the wholistic and herbal approach to health, and avoiding Rx medication whenever we can. He is solid gold in my opinion.

Dr Dan Schaffner is one of the best physicians this mountain community has ever had. I used to work with him as a mid-level provider (an NP) & have observe his expertise caring for patients and his compassion for them. He was always there to assist me in my practice caring for my patients, and is one of the hardest working and always available physicians I known. In the many years he has practiced in Oakhurst he has worked for several medical groups, some of which have had serious management problems (CMP especially), but Dr Schaffer has always been there for the people of this community. He has has dedicated his life to providing healthcare for them. My thoughts and prayers are always with you, Dr Dan. Thanks for all you've done these many years and all you do!

This Dr. Is one who listens to your health issues and addresses them accordingly. He goes the extra mile to give you that comfort of knowing he has answers or will find the answers regarding your health issues. Thank you for giving so much of your time to our mountain Communty. My Clients and myself think you are an amazing Dr.
