*updated to reflect prompt response from the salon* I was referred to this salon by Redken’s salon finder—I use ShadesEQ and am looking for a colorist to touch up my roots. When I called, the receptionist said “we have 38 independent stylists—there is no way for me to know if they use ShadesEQ.” I suppose the fault lies more with Redken for referring them than with the salon, but a response of “let me look into that and have someone call you back” would have resulted in a new client.
I followed Melanie here from her old salon and she remains the best colorist and overall stylist I’ve ever had. I love the private experience at Cleo with the division of chair space so your conversation and experience isn’t public, as opposed to the slightly chaotic vibe from some other salons with tighter space. You’re not pressured to buy products, you’re just there for your stylist and hair. I love it!
Many hairdressers in the UK struggle to tame my unruly hair so I was a little unsure of what could be achieved on my first visit to a salon in the US. Teena may look small but she is mighty ! An amazing blow-dry that not only lasted the course of a wedding but days later kept its shine & shape . Thank you so much Teena for fitting me into your busy schedule & giving me a blow-dry to last. The salon has good parking , is clean & well equipped , booking was easy over the phone & all were friendly.
