I can’t express how grateful I am to have met Dr. Dorothy Calvin. She is one of a kind ! And so is her husband Dr. Scott Calvin
My daughter has had an on going issue with her eye and Dr Dorothy has gone above and beyond for us. She is professional, kind and never rushes you to get to another appointment. One of the very few doctors who in a way treats you like a family. She wants to get to the bottom of it( if there is an eye issue present )

Dr. Calvin is a friendly lady and professional, that's if you get lucky to see her. Office is a dated hole in the wall in Northridge.
Biggest knock here is they only see patients 2 DAYS A WEEK (Yes 2!)
8 days a month? 96 days a year? That's why they book your child 5 years in advance (little sarcasm). If you have to reschedule for any reason....back in the line your child goes.
Forced to wait till my son is a little older so he will see a more general Eye Doctor, hopeful their office is open more than 96 days a year for eye examinations!

Ok I have to admit things started off a little unpleasant as the wait was 6+ months to see her but when you have an HMO in Cali, you know beggars cant be choosers. Thankfully they asked if I want to go on the cancel list, which I requested to be added to and then ended up squeezing me in about 2 months after the initial call.
First greeted by a nurse, which asks the general questions then if applicable, is the one which dilates the kiddos eyes (super nice young lady). But the Dr, the Dr is AMAZING!!!! She took so much time to answer every question we had, explored all options and was super thorough. It becomes obvious why the wait to see her... read full review
