About Eighty Eight Studios
Eighty Eight Studios is a popular dance studio located in the heart of the Noho Arts District in LA. The studio offers a wide variety of scheduled daily dance classes and pop-up masterclasses, taught by a team of skilled teachers, including industry-leading professionals and up-and-coming talent. The studio boasts two well-designed spaces — a 2,500 sq ft main studio with a state-of-the-art sound system and a more intimate 1,000 sq ft studio. Both spaces are designed to inspire and support dancers of all levels. From the moment visitors step inside, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, with an industrial-chic, neon-infused decor that sets a vibrant vibe. Reviewers have praised the studio’s diverse class offerings, from hip-hop to contemporary fusion, and the friendly, attentive instructors who focus on making sure students have good form. The staff and owners are appreciated for creating a fun, judgment-free environment that encourages growth and confidence. The studio now provides foundation classes for heels and hosts a well-structured workshop every weekend. These workshops are designed to be accessible, even for those with zero dance experience, featuring routines that are easy to learn. Students can also download class videos from Google Drive to track their progress, adding to the supportive atmosphere. While the studio is perfect for dancers looking to develop their skills or experience, some reviews mention that certain classes, especially heels, can be fast-paced and not always beginner-friendly. It is recommended that new dancers start with the right classes and communicate their needs. Overall, Eighty Eight Studios is a dynamic space known for its excellent instruction, lively community, and focus on foundation building, making it a top choice for dance enthusiasts in LA.
Brinn Nicole’s class was amazing! She is such a patient and caring instructor. Not only is she an incredible dancer, but she’s also a truly gifted teacher. And honestly, that’s rare because not every dancer is automatically a good teacher. But Brinn stands out.
She actually cares about her students’ learning and growth. You can feel that she wants you to develop, not just get through the choreography. She creates such a welcoming, encouraging environment, and it makes all the difference.
The studio is very lucky to have her she’s a standout instructor and a beautiful spirit.
Eighty Eight Studios has a diverse selection of teachers and genres for students to develop as a professional dancer, amateur or lay person. The professionals who teach are very skilled and attentive. They make sure that the students have the best form and we drill the moves/choreography multiple times to improve our performances.
It's also a fun, welcoming, judgement free zone! The owners and staff are great too and the facility has amazing spaces and energy. You can even download your dance class videos from the Google Drive to see your progression. That's awesome too! I love this studio.
UPDATE: So EightyEight Studios has received the feedback of having foundation classes for heels and now has been hosting a workshop every weekend. The workshop was very well structured and did an routine that was not hard to pick up and I say that as someone that has zero dance experience. Highly recommend this studio and can't wait to be back :)
