If you want to look like a million bucks for 40 bucks go to James. Very nice guy. Cool back story and a masters skill level with the hair. Random people get mad when he dosent let them park in his spots but he needs those for his loyal clients.

I came to James Albert hair studio by a recommendation from a friend and he gave me the best haircut of my life. It was such a reasonable price and I was in and out in 40 minutes (wash, cut, style). Definitely worth the 1.5 hr drive from DTLA and I will 100% be a regular for him.

James gave me a Brazilian Blowout & a trim & I'm really happy with the results. I always love my hair after a BB & I LOVE the trim he gave me. My last cut by another stylist was about a "D-" & I'm so happy James shaped it up & gave me an "A+" trim. The salon is small & cute tucked into Westcliff Plaza. He was also playing some great '80's tunes and not at an ear splitting decibel. After you get your hair done you can wander over to Haute Cakes, the Red Balloon and the other great boutiques in this plaza. Getting my hair done always puts me in a good mood & I drove down 17th Street & hit up a few other boutiques & spent some money. For those of you who have never shopped or driven down 17th Street it's full of great boutiques, hair salons and restaurants. Years ago my hubs and I lived in Newport Heights & 17th Street has undergone a huge makeover since we lived there. It's now revitalized & "hipster cool" & full of great shopping and dining establishments.
