I feel very fortunate to be a part of Hula Pono. The knowledge of Hula that is thought to us by our Kumu Pam Akina,The friendships that I made, Its like one large family.Even though I’m not dancing at the present time because of health reasons, I haven’t given up and looking forward to the day I’m back dancing.

Aloha....I joined Hula Pono over a year ago after a 20+ break from dancing hula all my life on the most part. You know the having kids, sports, coaching cheerleading, competitions, traveling and all that took over and now since kids all grown up my turn to return to what I love with a passion. I will tell you since day 1 walking thru the doors of the halau has been nothing short of the aloha culture. It's important to me to dance for the right reasons and every dance I've learned thru this halau tells a story and the meaning of the dance is communicated by the instructor in every way possible.
