“Josh has been cutting my hair for the last 10 years and he does a phenomenal job. It’s rare to find somebody that is multiple skilled in this trade. He’s an amazing barber. He’s an amazing stylist. He’s an amazing hairdresser. He has a great understanding on how your hair grows and how he will cut your hair in a way that it complements your facial features. He’s always changing my hair up time to time. “This review is not about Niki’s work but about her character and passion for her work. I had previous microblading from another artist I had used many times in the past. After seeing Niki’s work, I was ready to make the change and switch to Niki. I sent pictures of my eyebrows but unfortunately they didn’t reflect how dark my brows were in person. Niki apologetically declined to do my eyebrows but I was very appreciative for her honesty and sincerity. She took the time to inspect them carefully and developed a plan with me. She very easily could have taken my money and done the work with suboptimal results. It was obvious that Niki only wants to do her best work at all times and takes immense pride in customer satisfaction. “I used the mobile service where Katsu drives his van to meet you and the service was wash cut and blow dry. I was happy with the service and outcome, would use this again especially since it saves time. For the details: I made my appointment through yelp as I was not able to get through using his website. He was prompt and we agreed on a time that was less than 24 hours away, which I was glad he had the opening. We also confirmed price, note that posted pricing on website or elsewhere might be outdated. He arrived on time for the appointment and the interior of the van was neat and clean. I chose to keep my mask on and the van door open. He listened to my specific request for the haircut and proceeded to cut and paused for feedback and then cut again. I was happy that he was careful and meticulous to be sure it was what I wanted. For the wash, it was pretty close to being at a salon minus music. Water was a good warm temperature. For the blow dry, he was gentle and final hair was styled nicely. The only slight con is that the generator on the back of the van is fairly noisy, it was turned on for the blow dry part. I can see how this mobile service is useful for busy moms, people who work from home or people who can't leave their homes for long. I chose Katsu in particular as I have thick and slippery Asian hair and my usual hairdresser had left the area. A final note, I found Katsu to be courteous and reserved/quiet. This was fine with me as I'm not chatty normally.“
