After the recent storms…seeing thousands of trees down and so many people without power for weeks…it really made us take a serious look at the trees around our cabin.
We knew we wanted to remove any truly risky trees, but we also didn’t want to make decisions based on fear or our own inexperience. So we scheduled a tree risk assessment consultation with Nathan Berner, owner of Calaveras Tree Care...and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience.

I've worked with Nate for over 8 years managing the trees on my 1.5 acre parcel in Arnold, CA. His sage advice and counsel helped me to survive the massive bark beetle infestation on our area with the loss of only one tree, while nearby neighbors lost nearly all of their pines and firs. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. Nate will explain what is happening to your trees in understandable terms, and educate you how to see danger signs. His periodic inspections are very affordable and keep your trees healthy - and give you advance warning of trees that need help. The pricing for his services is very fair, and his communication with the client is superb. Highest recommendations.

Call Nate! He is super knowledgeable and very helpful. We just bought a cabin in Blue Lake Springs and he has been very patient answering our questions: how do we prevent beetle infestation? does the black fungus mean the tree is dying? can you/should we treat it? is there a way to prevent our cedar tree from raining sap? how far up should we trim our trees for fire prevention? Every time Nate provides an answer, he seems well educated and versed on the topic. We're going to have him inspect our trees soon. If he's less than great, I'll let you know but I'm pretty confident he'll live up to our calls.
