I was looking for a new optometrist, after my previous optometrist failed to meet my expectations and couldn’t fix or manufacture lenses for a particular prescription for my new frames. Dr. Nguyen was amiable, very personable, knowledgeable and has a great “can do“ attitude. He answered all my questions and was able to take my frames and get some lenses manufactured that met my expectations and needs. I will be going back to him in the future for all future eye wear and optic needs. I highly recommend him and enjoy his pleasant demeanor and great attitude.

Dr. Nguyen was patient & kind with my son who is mild ASD. Doctor also was a huge help in prescribing me a lens for my astigmatism. He also has excellent taste in frame offerings. We are lucky to have such a fantastic eye doctor in MH.

TLDR: Dr. Son Nguyen is a personable and thorough optometrist. His office is bright, clean, and hip. Morgan Hill Eyecare Optometry stocks a wide assortment of quality frames from high end brands such as Mykita, SALT, and Ray-Ban. I highly recommend this place! I was looking for an optometrist that stocks Mykita frames. Only a select few places in the South Bay carry this high quality brand from Germany, and Morgan Hill Eyecare Optometry is one of them. This place is different from other bland and standard optometry offices. The place is filled with unique touches. The hanging lights are shaped like what can only be described as exploding deconstructed Death Stars in neon green and red. An orange futon lends a chic urban touch. Eyewear displays are made from recycled books. The store carries a wide assortment of frames from Mykita, SALT, Ray-Ban, Eyevan. These brands are hard to find, and they can all be found here. As for the eye exam, Dr. Nguyen showed me to the exam room which was clean and modern (he uses iPads for part of the exam). He was very friendly, like talking to an old high school buddy. His exam was thorough and he took his time to explain what he was doing and why. He recommended a better contact lens brand that saved me money. I’m currently wearing them, and they’re so comfortable that I would not go back to my old brand. I also got myself a pair of Mykita frames that are light, durable, and stylish. Dr. Nguyen personally adjusted the frame so that it would seat properly on my face. It’s comforting to know a trained optometrist took the time to adjust the frames, unlike other places. An eye-opening experience of what an eye exam and eyewear purchasing experience should be like. Say goodbye to the old ways, and say hello to Morgan Hill Eyecare Optometry.
