City of Monterey Cemetery, Cementerio El Encinal

This is a city owned cemetery. Scott runs it and has a few others to help with maintenance, burials, etc. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and kind. It's hard to bury your loved ones and Scott made it so much easier. Worth calling to make sure he will be around when you are and to find out what kind of paperwork you will need. There are also a few fairly famous people buried here and they have a listing. Beautiful and adjacent to a gorgeous city park.

This is a beautiful place and wonderful people working there. They have taken care of my family for over 100 years and they continue to do so. Thank you all that work there and especially to Scott for all of his hard work.

City of Monterey Cemetery is always watering their grass and appears well maintained. San Carlos Cemetery which is right next to it rarely waters and if they didn't siphon water from Monterey would look abandoned. 5 for Monterey 3 for San Carlos.
