What I think is if you're injured and your doctor is only giving you pain meds go find out what's really wrong. I had thrown my sciatic nerves and still after a year felt constant pain and at times I was dragging my right foot. One session of massage therapy and BAM the major tension in my muscles and tendons were released. I also found out that tension was place pressure on the sciatic nerve. Then I got adjusted...thought here goes nothing. It was the best thing I could've done. A lot of stretching to maintain that adjustment works.... Go you have nothing to lose....going your momentum to gain. Btw the vitamin I am now taking thanks to Dr. Holmes has replaced about 10 over the counter vitamins...and I feel better!
