I recently moved to the area and have been trying to get an appointment, but they don't respond to the online request and NEVER answer the phone nor return calls so not sure how there service is
Having been a client for 10+ years with multiple animals, dogs and cats, when our golden retriever was bit by a rattlesnake and was in a life-threatening emergency situation, the personnel left my wife on hold for several minutes and then refused service. This seems to be the case of late after being denied a few other times for other urgent matters, but I am baffled that there isn't a system in place for life threatening emergencies (even if there is a full schedule). Changing my review and increasing 2 stars as the the business reached out; but we're still extremely hurt and bummed by this situation.
I drive all the way from Vallejo to bring my European Lagotto Romagnolo here. Dr. Unger is warm, sensible, conservative in her approach and real about the challenges pet owners face sometimes. It's about a 4 hour RT drive for me but it's worth it for the excellent care we receive. I've boarded here too. The only suggestion I have is for the post-boarding bath. Lagottos have a wool-like, non-shedding, water-repellent coat. It's not fur. You have to get him soaked before shampooing.
