people ask why I always go out of my way to visit this place and honestly I dont even know how to describe it, it just feels right. the grounds are so peaceful and well kept I found myself just walking around for like an hour without even noticing the time. one of the older sections had some gorgeous trees and a few really old headstones with carvings you just dont see anymore, I sat there for a bit and it was so quiet and nice. the lady at the office was friendly and gave me a little map which I left in the car but ended up not needing anyway becuase I just wandered wherever. its just one of those spots that makes you slow down and think about things you normally rush...read full review

I am honored to have two plots (with plenty of room) for my ashes and my children's and their's, etc. at the beautiful and serene Merced Cemetery. The grass is kept up, and I have yet to see a piece of trash. You are also welcome to bring a picnic, and I sometimes take a nap with my grandparents.
