I've known jack for over 30 yrs. I left him becuz I found a new person but recently returned. His prices are high but his advice is worthwhile. He definitely knows hair. I found out after 30 yrs I've been parting my hair on the WRONG side!!!! Thanks Jack

Sabrina did a wash, haircut, and style for me included in the haircut service she provides and she did an amazing job. I love how she cut my hair and she really was patient to make my bangs just the right length for me as I kept changing my mind to cut them shorter. I love how she cared about what I was comfortable with and didn't do anything before I approved it was ok! She's very sweet and talented. I had found out about her through a friend who also had a beautiful haircut from her. My friend got a different length haorcut but still got layers like I wantsd and it looked fantastic!

Wonderful spa like salon with high end interior design. Jack the owner of Jax has stellar background experience and has taught as an apprentice and master in Paris, all over Europe and Asia with the hair design master, Yosh, . His intuitive design and color work is palpable and he quickly gets to work applying what he knows as if automatic. He doesn't need a lot of time or fuss working with design or color he is quick to apply his skill . His business is driven by loyal customers over the decades and well established with deep roots in Menlo Park and other cities which sustained him all through the pandemic. He is also an owner of a Greek restaurant.. Nick The Greek. I'm impressed with jack's experience and large loyal clientele he's built a relationship over decades. The business virtually runs itself as a result. Thank you Jack for being the first colorist to work on my hair since the beginning of the pandemic even though you didn't know me. I imagine his clientele are mostly long time customers and I being an unknown client was a rarity. That's how good he is ! If you want an expert, excellent efficient color or cut appointment jack is the designer for you. Note: Right now there is no coffee, wine , champagne ,tea or drink service at the salon. I imagine that it's due to the pandemic and following guidelines. Most high end salons I visited before the pandemic offer this service. Usually a salon also calls to confirm an appointment. But without a receptionist ( also probably due to the pandemic) there wasn't anyone to remind clients of appointments and to welcome them with any instructions and serve clients. I imagine these services will resume after covid is more under control. Covid has changed so much for service oriented businesses. The last note is that this root touch up and highlights for just the top of my head to mask the grey cost more than I have ever spent on this exact service. ( probably double ) I guess you get what you pay for. Jack has decades of experience. I feel it's important to add this to the review. Check the prices before you book. I wish Jax all good wishes for the future
