On June 16, 2026 I saw Nurse Claire for a procedure. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. Her expertise made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing professional care.

These reviews are awful!! Why dont patients report these doctors to the State Medical Board, your Insurance carrier and especially Medicare if you are a senior. This used to be a great office when they were off of Bradley Rd. Friends of mine travel to the Hemet office, which they say is terrific, because their ins also has this group listed. Good luck people BUT stop letting them get away with disrespecting you!! Hit them where it hurts, their wallets!! REPORT THEM before real harm is done!!

I rarely post a negative review, however I feel obligated to let the public in on my experience here at the Haun Rd location. I was first seen in May 2025 for scalp issues (severe itch and inflammation) for 3 months. At my first appt, Dr Katz told me to “stop touching/itching” and “stop stressing out, seek counseling”. I begged for a cortisone shot to no avail. Fast forward to November; still no firm diagnosis, hundreds of dollars spent on co-pays and treatments that did not work, and a referral to an allergist. My point is don’t waste your time or money being seen here. My bald spots continue to grow as my bank account shrunk. The staff are nice enough, but clearly incompetent. From the front desk to the doctors. There is so much more to my story. Just consider this your warning. I also blame my primary care physician. The medical industry is nothing but a waste of money and time. We must be our own advocates, yet we must have insurance. Absolutely ridiculous.

Do not recommend Menifee office. I went here for my first ever dermatologist appointment. At 33 years old, I was definitely late to the game especially with how fair skinned I am. I had some concerning spots on my face, and some new spots that had grown over the years. Additionally, I have dealt with Alopecia Androgenetic for the past year or so I was really hoping to gain insight on and treat. Balding at 33 is pretty traumatizing. The Dr. who saw me wasn't even addressed as a Dr. They said "Chad will be right in". When he came in, I explained the areas of concern I had. They didn't have me put a gown on, didn't examine anything besides the spots I mentioned for about half a second and said everything looks fine. FINE, that's good news, right? Then, "Chad" looked through my hair quickly and said they usually recommend biotin for hair loss...... To me, that struck me as pretty elementary advice. Everyone knows Biotin is for hair skin and nails. What can YOU as a professional tell me about what's happening with my hair loss and other ways to treat it? I explained I had already been taking a handful of vitamins to support reducing DHT, hormones, been using red light therapy, etc. and done extensive research and that adding biotin was not going to be effective for me. Mind you, all of this was on my new patient forms. I then inquired about steroids, he said they could do injections for me. I (again, having done my own research) asked if injections specifically are even effective for my specific type of alopecia (they're not). He then agreed to prescribe me a topical serum to try using. Gave me no details on the serum, how it's applied, how it works, etc. I asked if it was similar to minoxidil because I had concerns about regrowing my hair, and then losing it again if I stopped the product. He confirmed it wasn't like that, but really gave me no other information. My appointment was on Thursday, they didn't fill the script until Tuesday. I really felt like they couldn't care less about my concerns, and couldn't wait for me to get out of there, so I kind of just shut up at that point. Then they said to come back in 2 months to review progress with my hair and said if you notice any freckles, moles, spots that are new, growing, raised, etc. to come in. I kind of raised my eyebrows at that point and said "kind of exactly like what I showed you today?" I got 2 words "not concerning". Again, FINE, but a little explanation, clarity, some sort of COMFORT offered to make me feel secure leaving there would be helpful. I've done my own research, I was really hoping for them to spend time with me and review my concerns in a thorough PROFESSIONAL manner especially noting it was my very first derm visit. I left reminded of why people hate going to the doctors for anything, because they don't care!!! Maybe some of the spots I showed were not concerning, but I know for a fact there are some that should have been biopsied just to confirm. The recommendation for Biotin absolutely floored me as well... I'm not just looking for longer hair, I have a developing condition that needs professional and medical attention. Will never be going back here and really hope others who are looking for a genuine and thorough staff don't give this place their business.

I was very impressed by the professional staff encountered during my visit. I was seen by dr Koupaie for an ongoing skin condition that has not been managed well by my previous dermatologist. Dr Koupaie was very thorough during my examination and was the only physician to be able to correctly diagnose my medical condition. I would strongly recommend seeing DR> Koupaie for any of your Dermatology needs.

My experience at Advanced Dermatology in Menifee was beyond disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the visit was disorganized and frustrating. The appointment instructions directed me to the second floor, Room 204, but the door was locked. I had to call the office, only to be redirected to Room 104 downstairs—already an unsettling start.

I arrived promptly at 10:45 a.m. for my daughter’s appointment. The waiting room was small and overcrowded. While we waited, my daughter began complaining of back pain. I stepped into the hallway briefly to contact her orthopedic specialist, but returned promptly and continued waiting. During this time, I noticed that two patients who arrived after us were called back before us. Concerned, I approached the receptionist desk to ask what was going on—by then, it was nearly 11:30.

The receptionist, Jasmine, was shockingly unprofessional and dismissive. She told me I had only just walked in 15 minutes prior, completely ignoring the fact that I had been in and out trying to comfort and advocate for my child. While I understand the importance of signing in, there was zero signage directing patients to do so. Jasmine was not at the front desk when we walked in—she was tucked away on the side, on the phone, with the sign-in sheet nowhere in sight. Not once did she greet us, ask if we had checked in, or offer any support.

To make matters worse, after waiting nearly an hour, Jasmine informed me that the doctor refused to see us—despite the fact that we were on time and had been sitting in the waiting room since 10:45. She then refused to provide a doctor’s note to excuse the missed time from work and school. It’s unacceptable to be treated this way at a medical facility. We sacrificed valuable time, missed school and work, and were ultimately denied care because of poor communication, lack of signage, and an inattentive front desk.

This experience is a prime example of what frustrates patients about the healthcare system. Jasmine’s dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism set the tone for an already chaotic environment. Advanced Dermatology in Menifee failed on multiple fronts: poor communication, disorganized procedures, and a lack of basic courtesy and customer service. I will not be returning and do not recommend this office to anyone looking for respectful, professional medical care.

Look at the picture where Jasmine is still behind this little door on the phone. When I did take this picture, she had at least pushed out the sign in clipboard, but also in the picture there is three signs on the wall, but not one says check in here. DO BETTER

Horrible office staff! I saw Dr. Phillips in the Murrieta office in November who did some biopsies. One biopsy came back as squamous cell carcinoma. Yikes! Dr. Phillips referred me to their Temecula office to meet with a skin cancer doctor to discuss treatment. I saw Dr. Mitchell on Dec. 4th. At that time Dr. Mitchell said I could do the radiation treatments in the Murrieta office and was assured most of my treatments would be done before the end of the year. They would work with me on the billing/deductible issue. I have a high deductible PPO plan for my insurance and wanted to avoid having to pay so much at the first of the year as I had already met my deductible for 2024. With that, I was told I would be contacted by the Murrieta office to schedule the treatments. I called the Murrieta office on. Dec 19th to find out if I could schedule the appointments since I had not heard anything, as promised. The receptionist informed me they were still waiting on the approval from my insurance. I have a PPO. It takes a minimal amount of time to verify if I would be covered or not. I called again on January 8th only to find out my insurance was NEVER contacted and they still needed approval. Wait! What??? I asked to speak with the office manager to resolve since obviously I had been lied to. Meanwhile this cancer is still growing and possibly spreading. The office manager said she submitted the info to the insurance personally and would call me in two days with an update. That was two weeks ago! Still no call from her. Wondering if the doctors have any idea as to how inept their office is. Needless to say, if you have cancer, best of luck to you as you will never be treated, based on my experience. I have now switched dermatologists to treat my cancer. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this office. It would have saved a lot of wasted time and frustration.
