My experience here has been frustrating mostly because of the lack of consistency and organization. I have been coming here about 2 1/2 years. Staff turnover has been very high, and it took close to a year before things even started to feel somewhat stable with counselors. At times it didn’t seem like they even had enough counselors for the number of patients. One of the counselors I had was frequently gone, which made it difficult to make any real progress or feel like things were settled. Even after being there a long time, issues still pop up unexpectedly that disrupt things.

The rules and expectations also seem to depend heavily on who happens to be working that day. I’ve seen people come in without shoes or shirts and nothing is said, but when I showed up at 7am on my day off wearing a robe (while fully dressed underneath) it suddenly became a problem. This was especially confusing considering they had a pajama day for employees not that long ago.

Dosing in the morning can also take much longer than it should. There have been mornings where I waited over 30 minutes even though only two people were ahead of me. This process is supposed to be quick so people can stop in on their way to work, but that’s not always the reality. There were also times when they would close the entire building for an hour for lunch, even though their posted hours say they are open from 5am–12:30pm. This is what I mean when I say they enforce what they want to.

Another issue has been the environment in the lobby. People sometimes come in dirty, yelling, or cussing, which can make the space feel chaotic. In the past there were also instances where front desk staff were overly casual with certain patients, even going out on smoke breaks with them, although the employee who did that has since left.

The hours have also become less convenient over time. They used to be open all weekend, but now they are closed on Sundays, which is one of the only days many people who work Monday through Friday have available to get things done.

Overall, the experience has often felt disorganized and inconsistent, which can make what should be a straightforward process much more stressful than it needs to be. I have no problem following the rules; it is just highly unfair to randomly decide to do so one day and not the next.

EDIT: I forgot to give mad props to my current counselor, Irene. She has been the most real and helpful person I have met there. She is definitely saving lives everyday that she comes into work.

Place is good if you’re determined to make that your outcome. Such a high turn over rate with staff here you get people who picky choosy with who and what rules they enforce. Have seen homeless people with no shoes or shirts come in and they say nothing… but if you show up with a robe on (obviously fully dressed underneath) your day off at 7am there’s a problem, even though they had a pajama day for the employees legit a month or so ago. There’s people in the waiting room with pajamas on every single day. Just whatever the front desk feels like for the day is how the rules go. - Rob and Nishi are great though : )

Amazing clinic, though its the first clinic I've been to. The doctors and councilors are more than understanding and will jump through hoops to make the right call. The receptionist are super friendly and make you feel welcomed and belonged, extreamly friendly. They are there for you and it was very apparent. I was recently transitioned from suboxone to methadone, the doctor took her time and did everything right. I could not be more relieved to have such an amazing team of people surrounding me. If you or know anyone struggling with opioid dependency, I highly recommend this clinic. Under there care, you will be heard and treated as someone who matters. If you do go here, please show respect and you won't have a worry in the world.

I came here as a little over a year ago. The P.A. Nishi provided me with medication to help stop using. It took a lot of effort to get through the first few weeks, because I felt awful at first. But, with weekly counseling with Melissa I am clean 14 months. My life has significantly improved since. I was on the brink of losing my job, my home, my family, and more than likely, my life. I thrive in this world now because Aegis helped me through. I appreciate everything this place has done for me and the others. Thank you Nishi & Melissa!

My wife has been going here for a few years on and off and I've noticed that this past year has been really doing great for her the staff is doing a fabulous job of communicating well with their clients and my wife is much more at a secure knowledge that she's getting the type of treatment and counseling that makes her want to do better and I am grateful for this change in her ! Thank you all who are making a difference in our lives !

I like this place. And all the staff. The counselor actually care and WANT to help you. I’m not sure why it has 3 stars, because this is a location trying to help recoverin addicts like myself. Only down fall is the wait, for certain things, but thats only at the beginning when you register as a PT there because of all the paperwork and stuff you have to do. Also they provide lots of help. Counseling. Help getting a primary doctor. They care about you and your needs and I love that about them. They are awesome. 10/10

There is currently a really solid group of people at this clinic....from the counselors, to the nurses, and the management. Everyone is always friendly and that can be difficult at times when your work day starts at 5am. 2 people specifically really stand out and make this experience easier. Katrina (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) who works in the front, and Dan who works security. Katrina is hilarious and treats everyone with respect and doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. Sometimes is hard accepting the fact you have to be at a methadone clinic. But when the staff treats you so well and make you smile, it really helps. Dan is an amazing person as well. He has to deal with so many ridiculous people who act like children and yet he always has a positive attitude. I look forward to seeing him daily. I'm not sure how many of the staff at the clinic read these reviews...if any, but I would like to say thank you to all of them for making this journey a lot easier and on a daily basis I have positive, sometimes hilarious interactions and starting your day in a positive way really helps you throughout your day. I hope to join this staff as a counselor once I complete my recovery. I know I only mentioned 2 names, but thank you again to all of you. I'll throw one more name out there and a big thank you to Carl who is part of the management team. He's an extremely nice person and I feel, genuinely cares about the patients at this clinic. Thanks again guys-Andrew
