I had never been to a chiropractor and was really skeptical and afraid that their techniques would actually injure me. Wow was I wrong! I had chronic pain in my hips and inner thighs that were really holding me back from my normal activities. I learned about Dr. Pedersen when gathering internet data on my condition. The search led me to his YouTube channel, and I was really pleased that his office was nearby. Dr. Pederson took plenty of time to assess the pain I was having and put together a course of treatments that provided me with significant relief. He’s great about explaining the anatomical sources of the pain and the treatment options he provided. I feel much better and cannot recommend Dr. Pederson more highly. His office manager Maggie is a dream to work with as well. Thank you so much!
I don't write many reviews, but dr Pedersen deserves my praise! It all started on Oct 7, 2018, when I got an excruciating pain in my lower back, almost out of the blue, that basically put my life upside down. Based on my MRI, I was diagnosed with a herniated disk between L1/L2 and a bulging disk between L5/S. I was told to stop exercising, which is extremely hard for an active person like me, but I did it as I wanted to get better soon, was in a lot of pain and afraid to re-injure. I was going twice a week to PT and twice to a chiropractor at first and then an acupuncturist (which included a massage); so I basically traded exercising for 4 days of therapies, with little to no positive results. Long story short, after 3 months of doing this new regime and almost no exercise (besides some swimming and hiking), I was not getting better and was still in pain, completely discouraged and with no end in sight. As a very good friend of mine had recommended dr Pedersen, I decided to try him, even though I had to pay out of pocket and go all the way to Los Gatos, far away from San Francisco, where I live. That was the best decision I have made & wish I would have done it as soon as I got injured. He diagnosed me right away differently: it's your psoas muscles he said and gave me a belt to wear for a couple of weeks. Within 2 days I was feeling better. After a month of seeing him once a week, doing the exercises and following his recommendations (I stopped everything else), I was pain free and started doing some of the activities I love the most: skiing, dancing, zumba, yoga (modifying poses). I call it magic, but know it's his training & desire to heal his patients. Learning how to sit and how to maintain my spine in the correct posture have been crucial to my recovery and owe it all to him. I highly recommend dr Pedersen to anyone; he is totally worth the money, the distance and whatever you may think is excessive or out of your budget. Health is priceless and if one accounts for deductibles, copays and most importantly, results, there would be no second guessing choosing dr Pedersen. Thank you so much, dr Pedersen! You have made it possible for me to return to my active self and have given me hope & faith in my healing process. And I can't thank you enough for all of it!
