My friend and I followed a little black cat into this shop and we ended up with really nice matching $100 flash tattoos. They let us in at 9:45 pm. Baba, Bob, and Zumi made us feel so welcome and we all had such fun conversations. Both of our little tattoos came out so uniquely and wonderfully. Thank you!!

Dont give them your time or money. I grew up in hlp almost 30 years and have 3 tattoos from this place its been a few years and plus from covid that I hadn't got any new ink until today, I wish I never went.My gramas funeral was just yesterday and I decided to pay an homage to her with a tattoo. I thought where else than my hometownI spoke with Zumi on the phone she was polite and sweetOnce I came in I was assisted by BOB who drew up something just for me freehand once it came the point where I wanted to change some things just the size and adding some additional he shut me down and then walked away saying he wasn't going to do it anymore. Let me tell you just the experience...read full review

This is a long overdue review: I met Baba at the Tattoo Expo in Cow Palace, San Francisco! Although I intended to get tatted by the other guy who had vintage flashes, Baba was ready to seat me and evaluate my arms for placement. I got a flash of two hearts and flowers with a sword piercing through. Keep in mind, this was my first American Traditional style tattoo. When I tell you that I was amazed to see Baba freehand the design so clean, proportional, and precisely, I knew I had to recommend him to others! And to think I was so nervous, especially when it's done at a convention! I have an attention disorder, so the loud crowd made me even more anxious. However, Baba was so soft spoken and relaxed-- he was easy to talk to, despite his big personality. I enjoyed watching him tattoo me in focus while he wore his glasses! He also answered my questions with a respectful tone, thoroughly explaining how the machine works and such. He made the tattoo bearable! And I'm someone who enjoys the pain of tattoo needles, but this was actually a comfortable feeling! It didn't even feel like a cat scratch, more just like little baby pinches. Lastly, I really admire his attention to detail. He noticed my other tattoo was very thick lined, so he opted for a smaller needle size and said it would create more balance, rather than clashing with the neighboring tattoo. And as I have a brown complexion, he also explained to me how he will add some hints of purple shading on the outline to make the tattoo pop. Outstanding job, Baba! What a nice memory I've made. Every time I look at the tattoo, I'll remember this moment. Can't wait to see him again for the next convention!
