Oh I love The Harbor! I have been seeing my stylist for the last 2 years. She told me all about the salon that the owner Shanda was building and how she couldn't wait to get in as she did my hair in her living room apartment in Los Feliz 2 years ago! The Harbor has now been open for 1year and 1/2 and it is so much more gorgeous than I could have imagined! What has really set The Harbor apart for me in my experience is the thorough consultations, the atmosphere, and the incredible results! They serve you coffee or tea or natural wine from their neighbors, the music is vibey but not overbearing and the products smell amazing! Rachel and I have been on a journey to get my hair brighter gradually and I am so thankful that she even pointed me in that direction-- I am really a low maintenance kind of gal. I wanted my hair really bright and was suggesting getting a bleach and tone service but since I only see her maybe every 5-6 months she said a full highlight would be more suitable for my lifestyle and that we would keep building on making it brighter. Because of her honesty I have come back more frequently and gotten blonder in a shorter amount of time but I knew where we were going! I am so happy this salon exists in Silverlake. Get a bagel, get some wine, spoil yourself!
OMG! Amazing salon! Just the perfect amount of casual attitude blended with royal treatment. Such a comfy yet professional space, and the most fun photo booth opportunity! I look forward to my next visit.
