Nobu is an oldie but goodie. Nobu has been at it for years and he has become a solid westwood establishment like the car wash up the street. He started at one of these generic hair salons and opened his own shop after getting a solid clientele base. I've got my daughter, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and cousin going to him. Pros- he is very skilled at layers, can provide a fast cut, and is reasonably priced. Cons- they don't take appointments so be prepared to come either at an off time, or to wait. Also, every now and again I will go and the layers will feel off. Still, despite the occasinal inconsistency, he is good and is why I drive down from Northridge for his services.
Nobu gives the best haircuts I could ever ask for! He's a master of layers at any length, I always get compliments after getting haircuts from him! Not to mention he's beyond reasonably priced in today's economy. Bring cash though, he's cash only and first come first serve (no appointments). That might sound like a huge inconvenience to some, but to me it's a small inconvenience in exchange for his work and I'll be coming back over and over again!
Nami is an excellent stylist as well as a lovely and kind person. I’m so grateful I found her after searching for a while for a Yuko straightening expert and talented colorist. If you appreciate precision cuts and product knowledge in a stylist, I highly recommend Nami. Her professional and genuine demeanor makes you feel at ease knowing you are in good hands.
