For some background, I’ve always struggled to find someone who understands my high volume, high frizz, wavy Asian hair. I’ve left countless salons over the years in LA disappointed with the service as many stylists end up rushing by the end due to the amount of hair I have. Often, the cuts wouldn’t complement my natural texture and I’d find myself with a super poofy cut that’s hard to maintain.

It was so gratifying to arrive at the salon for the first time to feel immediately comfortable with the vibe there. Yui was very thoughtful and artful in helping craft my birds nest into a shinier and prettier head of hair. He has a calming manner and engaging style. I loved all the plants and the greenery! I think they must filter out some of those stronger scents of coloring and heated hair because I was taking clean, deep breaths as my own hair was soaking in new color. Which I've been afraid to do at previous salons. I know, weird point, but salient.
Yuichi is an incredible stylist! He is so kind, attentive and talented. I left with one of the best cuts I’ve had in a long time and he gave me a ton of recommendations for at-home styling. The space is inviting, light-filled and covered with plants creating a serene and calming atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
