After a lot of research using Google Gemini, I found Victor Bodyworks and am so glad I did. My primary needs were very specific: a full body wax performed by a male technician, using hard wax for sensitive areas (to avoid tearing), and at a price much more reasonable than the high-end Beverly Hills salons. I'm happy to report that Victor delivered on every single one of my priorities and exceeded my expectations. Victor's salon is a private, professional room located in his clean and organized lower-level apartment, situated below his mom's salon on Melrose near Western. I was also pleased to find that Victor provides off-street parking if needed, and nearby side streets do have free untimed parking, except for street cleaning days. The entire household was a "shoes off" environment and was spotless. A previous review mentioned the place smelled like cats, but in my experience, this was not the case. Although he does have cats, they were a non-issue for me as a pet-friendly person who isn't allergic. The treatment itself was a fantastic experience. The room was set at the perfect temperature for my preference, and a calming atmosphere was created with the sound of waves and rainfall. Victor made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, engaging in friendly, lively conversation the whole time. He even shared some of his delicious mushroom tea, which tasted just like a mocha coffee. Victor is a true professional and requires a reasonable $20 deposit via Venmo to secure the appointment. I found this to be a fair business practice, as it ensures clients are considerate of his time and helps prevent no-shows. The deposit was, of course, deducted from my total cost. I was not looking for a fancy, expensive salon—I was looking for a qualified professional who could deliver great results without the sticker shock. Victor did just that. I felt well-cared for, and I will absolutely be a return customer. Highly recommended!
