I didn't know what I was missing in a tattoo parlor until I went to High Art. Ruby was professional, welcoming, and really inspired confidence with her knowledge and experience. I felt comfortable walking into her shop immediately; very BIPOC and LGBTQ+ friendly. Made sure I was comfortable for a 6 hour sitting, encouraged me to take breaks if needed, and put on some movie gems to pass the time. I went in with an idea of what I wanted for a cover up, though when I got there and she saw it, Ruby explained why the cover up wouldn't work well. Traveled to LA and planned to get a tattoo while visiting, thankfully I found this place. Raul was an awesome tattoo artist. He worked so well with us to make sure the tattoo size/placement/design was exactly how I wanted it! Pricing was good too, wasn't overpriced and honestly would have paid more! Would definitely reccomend this place.

Ruby Croak designed and completed a coverup tattoo for me on my inner forearm. She also tattooed both of my wife’s watercolor pieces on her shoulders and arms. We had gotten several tattoos prior to seeing Ruby so we weren’t new to tattooing but after seeing Ruby we realized we were in fact new to being tattooed by an ARTIST. Of all the tattoos we have, the ones we’re always complemented on were done by Ruby. Her reputation for watercolor brought my wife and I from Sacramento, CA to get tattooed in Los Angeles, CA and it’s the best decision we could’ve made.
