I went to Fernando de Manila to have a beloved piece of clothing copied. They gave me a fair price and a 3 week turn-around estimate. It was finished in 3 days and is an almost perfect replica. The details and craftsmanship are exquisite. I can't wait to have them make something else for me.

I requested Laida to make me a Maria Clara skirt to match my Kimona/baro and alampay top which I bought off the rack from a Filipino store. The fabric she chose for my skirt was a gold brocade lame' and placed a layer of lace with florettes over the front of which served as the tapis. It really looked elegant and pretty. There were so many compliments I received during our gala. The only thing I noticed was there was no lining inside the skirt which she mentioned she'll place when I was quoted with the price, thus, the 4 stars. But overall, I'mhappy how my skirt turned out for our event with the theme "Around the World."

I worked with Laida at Fernando De Manila Custom Clothing & Tailor, and she was wonderful! I needed a special dress created for a big gala that was being attended by Beyonce' and Jay-Z, and the theme was "Harlem Nights." One of the characters from the movie had a beautiful red dress with a cape, and I did a Google search to find a tailor that could create this for me. I called this business, spoke with Laida, told her my needs, sent her pictures, and she delivered an elegant dress almost verbatim to the pictures I sent her AND completed it in a short timeframe!!
