Despite its history, including a past speak easy operation, the cemetery is now a haven for quiet reflection. Visitors can walk and reflect among the historic headstones, enjoying the birds singing and the gentle breeze. The office staff, like Kenny, are friendly and helpful. While the grounds can be affected by the LA weather, the rain brings out the beauty of the cemetery, making it a lovely place to connect with the past and appreciate the present moment.
Evergreen Cemetery is one of the most peaceful places I’ve visited in Los Angeles. It’s quiet, well-maintained, and offers a rare sense of calm that’s hard to find in such a busy city.

Decent cemetery; dry grass during the summer & green pasture during cooler seasons. Here it is where my belated father is buried & also my step-mom about 5 yards apart; both R.I.P. until we meet once again.
I heard Christine ida Collin’s was buried here back in 1964. So sad her son was never found . But the way she fought for him till her last dying breath and taking LAPD down at the time was so impressive. Good for her . Hope and her son were happily reunited in heaven if you haven’t seen the movie “Changeling” Angelina Jolie plays her part .
