About California Market
California Market is a Korean supermarket that has been serving families in Southern California since 1987. It offers a wide selection of international goods, including fresh produce and Korean specialties. The market is known for its unique shopping experience, combining Korean and American products. Customers praise the freshness of the produce, the variety of Korean dishes such as grilled mackerel, japchae, and gimbap, and the reasonable prices. The shelves are well organized and of a manageable size, and the staff are friendly. The market also features a bakery, fried chicken restaurant, and Coffee Bean, with indoor parking for convenience. It is open until midnight, making it a good choice for late-night shopping. While the fish is not the best, it is still among the better options in Korean town markets, especially the room temperature ones. Overall, many find it a great place to shop for everything needed for Asian cooking, enjoying fresh bread, sushi, and drinks at affordable prices.
My favorite market.
The shelves are well organized and of a reasonable size, the staff are friendly, and the meat is particularly well-diversified.
The fish here is not the best, but it is one of the best among the Korean town markets. I recommend the ones at room temperature rather than the ones displayed in the refrigerator.
There is also a Gaju Gimbap, bakery, fried chicken restaurant, and Coffee Bean in the market, and it is good because there is indoor parking.
If you go to Gaju Market, you must buy kimbap!!! It’s great value for money!! The taste is good and considering the price, I think it would be nice to stop by here at least once for the kimbap.
Although it is a Korean supermarket, it is recommended because it sells items that are familiar to Japanese people at relatively low prices.
The rice is reasonably priced and delicious.
As Japanese rice? The Korean rice sold here feels closer to Japanese rice than the NISHIKI (which tastes different from Japanese rice), and is cheaper.
